CONFIRMATION FOR TEENS

Confirmation 2026-2027

Beginning in November of 2026, sacramental preparation for Confirmation includes four stages of formation totaling 22 one-hour sessions over a 12-month period, leading to the Mass of Confirmation in Fall of 2027.

All sessions will be held on Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Old Rectory at St. Thomas Aquinas.

*Catholic School students are exempt from completing Stage 1.

Stage 1 (Two Options):

  Option 1 ~ The Invitation (5 Sunday Sessions)
     (11/8) Welcome Session
     (11/15) Session 1: The Kind of People He Invites
     (11/22) Session 2: The Invitation
     (11/29) Thanksgiving Break - No Meeting
     (12/6) Session 3: The Cost
     (12/13) Session 4: You Are Not Alone
  Option 2 ~ Outpouring Retreat (1 Weekend)
     Nov. 20-22 OR Dec. 11-13

     Please note that the registration fee ($135) needs to be covered by the parent.

     (2/14) Presidents’ Day Break - No Meeting
     (2/21) Session 4: Alive
     (2/28) Session 5: Prayer for the Release of the Holy Spirit
     (3/7) Large Group Session

Stage 3 ~ Bible Study (5 Sunday Sessions)
     (4/11) Session 1: The Basics
     (4/18) Session 2: The Gifts
     (4/25) Session 3: The Proof
     (5/2) Session 4: The Mission
     (5/9) Break for Mother’s Day
     (5/16) Pentecost Prayer Service (note that this session may extend to 6:30 PM)
