Simply Give

In the continuing spirit of providing to those in need, the Meijer Corporation invited the St. John/St. Thomas parish family to participate in the Meijer Holiday Simply Give Program.  As before, purchase a “Simply Give” donation card of $10 at the Lake Lansing Road Meijer store now through December 26.  Even more important, those Simply Give cards purchased on the Double Match Day - Saturday, December 12 - will be matched twice by Meijer, effectively tripling the contribution to the Food Cupboard!

There are two ways to contribute if you don’t shop at the Lake Lansing Road Meijer but want to triple a contribution to the Food Cupboard:

Write a check to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and mark the envelope “Meijer Simply Give” and drop it in the Collection Basket at Mass.

Donate through this webpage and click on the Donate Now button above.

We will then purchase Simply Give cards on your behalf.

Each week our Food Cupboard provides groceries and personal care items to more than 75 needy individuals and families.  It is through the generous support of the St. John/St. Thomas parish family, funding provided by the Meijer “Simply Give” program, and food received from the Greater Lansing Food Bank, that we can serve our community.  On Double Match Day, Meijer will double match your $10 with $20 for a total of $30, up to $10,000, to fight local hunger!

The Food Cupboard is operated by volunteers and members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. John Church and Student Center.  Questions?  Email us at [email protected].

You have our sincerest gratitude, our prayers and blessings. Thank you for your support.
