Spiritual Support Recommendations:• Let’s get back to church: The world needs our prayers and Mass offerings. We all have friends and family members who have lapsed from the faith or practice irregularly, especially since the churches closed temporarily during the pandemic. Let us work to invite our fellow Catholics back to confession and Sunday Mass!
• As so many things of this world are beyond our control, rather than being consumed by anxiety, let us surrender our fears to the Lord trusting that all things work to the good for those who love the Lord (Romans 8:28). Try the following prayers:
• It is wise to surround ourselves with blessed sacramentals. Now is a good time to wear a blessed St. Michael the Archangel medal or a Miraculous Medal. Carry a blessed Rosary in your pocket or purse. Make sure that your home has blessed crucifixes and even blessed candles. Let us surround ourselves with God’s blessings and protection!
In times of conflict, as some may meet their judgment unexpectedly, please pray for the dying each day and for the holy souls in Purgatory. Use the following devotions:
• Our Lady of Medjugorje promotes five simply practices to overcome the evils of our times. She refers to these as 5 little stones with which to slay Goliath:
praying the Holy Rosary with our heart every day,
fasting twice every week (recommended on Wednesdays & Fridays),
making a Holy Confession every month,
receiving the Eucharist every Sunday,
and reading the Bible every day.
